Eleanor writes in a variety of genres.
During her educational career she was published in several educational journals. All 14 of the educational books she wrote based on the activities she developed with her gifted students in Heard County, Carroll County, and Marietta City School Systems in Georgia are still available from Educational Impressions.
For three years after Eleanor retired, she wrote a monthly column, "Vintage Finds," on antiques and travel for the VINTAGE TIMES, an antiques and collectibles trade papaer.
Next, Eleanor turned her pen to poetry. BREAD AND ROSES, TOO, was published in 2005. IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER will be published in 2010. "I Want to Dance" (page 10, BREAD AND ROSES, TOO) won the Gwin Anderson Oliver Poetry Award. Several other poems have been published individually.
THE FRECKLED-FACED PRINCESS, developed for her granddaughter, has been accepted for publication.
Eleanor has been working on short stories and sketches for several years.
She has started writing her next project, which is a condensed and selected version of her life. This project will be privately published and read only with her permission.
